Hello all!
I decided to do my once-per-year journal update to welcome in 2013. And yes, this welcome is a bit late, but... um... Yeah. Moving on!
I've officially decided that I should stick to painting alien skin. Although it's been a couple years since my Thane painting, I still find myself unsatisfied with the pieces I do of, you know, non-green/yellow/red/brown-skinned characters. I have, however, continued to foray into the world of colour, so perhaps one day when I can hold up a painting beside Thane and feel that it doesn't look like it's been produced by a completely different artist (or I throw away my frustration/shame at not producing colour works to that same level of skill and detail) you will see some more colourful art. Also, colouring is time consuming. REEEAAAALLY time consuming.
That said, I've also gotten into the cosplay scene, so if any of you have any advice to give on that front, I'd be most appreciative!
Anyway, that's about all there is to update you on the art front. Fare thee well, travelers!

Holy Cats!
So I decided to drag myself out of the cave I call my room, and realized that I haven't updated my journal in some time. A lot has happened in the past year. Here are a few things I have to say:
My thumb is healed.
It's better to do what makes you happy than to do what you are best at.
Life goes on even after you're heart's been broken.
Dragon Age really is as incredible as everyone says it is.
My brother has truly become a teenager.
Habla ingles por favor? (I sure hope I spelled that right...)
Friends have the softest shoulders.
To everyone who's been there for me in any way, thank you. This year will probably be one of my most memor
'Home'
Hello everyone,
I have returned 'home' for the summer after another year of university, and am doing, in my opinion, surprisingly well. I don't think it's quite sunk it yet that I'm here for the next four months, so the missing of Nico that usually stunts the growth of happiness is absent, and the excitement at seeing friends and family is still fresh.
Also, I can move my thumb now, which is excellent. I can play video games with it (for a short time), instead of using my index finger to move the joystick. >< Everyone else is disappointed though, because it means that they won't be able to kill me in Super Smash Bros. anymore, heh heh heh..
Six weeks... yay?
... so, in the end, I don't have to practice for a whole six weeks! Yay! Shocked? Confused? So am I.
I'll start with yesterday. Yesterday I was feeling quite ill, and seemed to have lost control of my motor skills, as I broke a casserole dish and one of the only reasonable sized glasses we have. I made a joke at that point about how I should just break another dish and get it over with, and little did I know I was right.
Today was an ordinary day. I got up at 7:00, rushed around getting ready, and started walking to school at 8:00. I got to school at precisely 8:26, and entered my classroom feeling awful and shivering (as I haven't fully re
Just Say... Why?
(Ugh... I'm eating the most unhealthy thing for lunch today...>> )
A new post, eh? What a surprise! Okay, so maybe not really.
Hmm... Nothing terribly new has happened lately, except I HAVE A JOB (and I've been working on my blog, thanks to Emily)! YAY! No longer am I the unemployed bum off all my friends! Woo hoo!
The only downside is now I have to work... -_-
So, I am now officially a youth prevention worker at Alcohol and Drug Services in Fort St. James, Vanderhoof AND Fraser Lake. It involves a lot of driving. ><
However, I feel like it's a job where I'm really making a difference, because I'm educating people about the effects of dr
