"Home"
NeutralI have returned 'home' for the summer after another year of university, and am doing, in my opinion, surprisingly well. I don't think it's quite sunk it yet that I'm here for the next four months, so the missing of Nico that usually stunts the growth of happiness is absent, and the excitement at seeing friends and family is still fresh.
Also, I can move my thumb now, which is excellent. I can play video games with it (for a short time), instead of using my index finger to move the joystick. >< Everyone else is disappointed though, because it means that they won't be able to kill me in Super Smash Bros. anymore, heh heh heh....
Anyway, just a quick update to keep you all posted and to get the depressing journal entry off the front page.

The flute playing is also coming along, but I'm not invited to my university of choice, at least not at the moment. Wait lists stink, you know? However, I'm very excited to be back to lessons (at least for the first bit of the semester), as that'll help me get my high E natural back in tune.

Hope everything goes well in music for you! I've actually picked up piano again, if far less dedicated than you are to your flute (or even me a few years ago, haha), but I'm having fun with it and my old teacher is being super generous (I don't even have to pay tuition) so yup.
My "exciting" thing planned is that I might be able to get into a nonfiction rather than fiction creative writing class this semester ^_^ Keeping my fingers crossed... hopefully I'll find out more on Friday. And, of course, coming up north to see you and KTQT. ;D Oh, and my friend and I are discussing trying to find an apartment/house to rent together, lol.
